The jeans Emma Watson asked us to make.*

Denim is known as the dirty denim industry. For good reason.

Traditional jeans use a huge amount of water, toxic chemicals and have a high risk of modern slavery in their supply chains.

But £100 for ethical jeans?! We're not all Bezos.

So after we launched our £7.99 sustainable & ethical T-shirts, you asked us to make jeans. We listened.

And here we are, launching the most affordable, sustainable & ethical jeans on our planet.

Living wages and sustainable fabrics. All for £39.99 / $44.99.

Here's the story 👇

One. Our garment workers are paid a living wage.

Two. Organic denim, good for the planet.

Three. Classic cuts, chosen by you.

Four. You can even tip your garment worker directly 💸

Made in the best denim factory in the world.

Our jeans are made in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🇻🇳 After countless hours searching for factories, we came across Evolution3. We immediately sent them a message. Here's why.

Every worker receives a living wage. And they’re making a beautiful space to work, with regional art and a plant filled balcony.

They're also the only manufacturer in the world rated 100/100 by the Fair Wear Foundation for their exceptional ethical standards.

Welcome to the best denim factory in the world.

P.S. They also have factory open days, so next time you're in Saigon, take a visit.

What is sustainable organic denim?

Our jeans are made from organic cotton, hemp & biodegradable polyester. Long words, which in short mean our jeans are better for you and the planet.

We're also working with an innovative laundry factory. They use advanced eco technology (like lasers) to wash and fade the denim.

So our jeans are made with less water and less chemicals than traditional denim. Making them better for the planet, farmers and your skin.

P.S. There's an industry metric called an EIM score (Environmental Impact Measurement). This measures denim based on the impact it has on water, energy, chemicals and people. All our jeans have a low impact score (that's a good thing 😉).

Classic fits. Designed by Aimee.

We all want jeans that make you look as sexy after Sunday lunch as they did before.

So we hired Aimee, a denim designer and sustainability expert. She's been designing for household names for years.

We then asked over 2,000 people what designs they wanted and Aimee got to work producing our classic Yes Friends fits.

The mom, the straight, slim, regular and an oversized denim jacket.

But how is this madness possible?

There's a myth in the fashion industry that goes like this;

“It’s way too expensive to pay workers well and treat the planet well and run a successful business”.

But the truth is, with a little bit of scale it's possible to pay workers well, use sustainable materials and be affordable.

Did you know: ethical & sustainable jeans cost under £20 ($25) to make and normal jeans cost under £10 ($12). Then brands charge £100 ($120) 😲

We’re here to transform the fashion industry, we just need your help.

We're on a mission

Yes Friends is on a mission to transform the lives of garment workers around the globe.

We focus on increasing wages for garment workers throughout the supply chain, as well as using innovative sustainable production. We’re proud of the pioneering work we’re already doing, but we’ve still got further to go. You can read more about our plans here.

We invite you to join us on the journey as together we create a clean fashion industry and see thousands of workers’ lives transformed.

Here's two options for you...

We've known Emma for years. Well at least in our hearts. She's been advocating for ethical & sustainable fashion for years too.

Supporting brands on the red carpet and speaking out at UN conferences. She's a hero in the movement. And although she didn't technically ask us to make these jeans. We took this quote as permission.

“Young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion, and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there" - Emma Watson
