A few months ago, something unexpected happened. We asked you what you’d like us to make in the summer. It was an innocent question.
One of you had an agenda.
We’ll admit it’s a fairly cute agenda, but you hunted that cute agenda like John Wick hunted down the people who killed his dog.

We can only assume this is the work of one person. But of course, we might have a syndicate on our hands, in which case we might be out of our depth. So far, Yes Friends has managed to steer clear of a Mafia influence.
Either way, you got our attention. You’re not screaming about necklines into the void.
And we can reassure you: you’re not the only one who asked for square cuts. Even if you’re the only one who used so many capital letters. Next summer, we’ll be releasing our first dress with a square neckline.

Let’s circle back to why we do this asking-you-what-we-should-make-next thing.
Basically fast fashion = a lot of clothes in landfill.
Fast fashion brands don’t know what people want, so they make a lot of everything, and if anything doesn’t get sold, it can end up in a place that looks like the opening scene of WALL-E.
We want to transform this fashion industry. And for us, one of the things we’re doing differently is making things we know you’ll want – specifically you, our friends.
So at least twice a year, we ask you, “what should we make next?” Even if, for you, everything begins and ends with square necklines.
This is slow fashion, and it’s good fashion.
And it’s how we make ethical affordable.
