We want you to stop buying our clothes.

Not forever. Just for a few minutes.

We really don’t want this relationship to end.

But we’ve got to the stage when we can be honest with each other, right? Past the flirty beginnings and into the real talk.

Thing is, there’s only five of us in the office, and one of those five isn’t even on the payroll – he just likes hanging out here.

And sometimes we like to goof off a little. Go for a little surfing or paddleboarding trip in the middle of the week, that sort of thing.

Now earlier this month, we sent out an email like this one talking about linen trousers.

And it was a tsunami situation.

If the swell of orders could generate waves on one of our mid-week surfing trips, you might have seen two halves of a board drifting along the Devon coastline.

Let’s be clear now – we loved getting wiped out.

Our arms were aching from packing orders, but it was a good kind of ache.

And after the wonderful chaos died down, we celebrated with team pizza from the best bakery around.

We love that you made this one of our best launches ever, and we’d do it all again gladly.

But if we’re honest we’d love a quick breather – and maybe a nap.

So this week, you won’t see the usual button linking to flaming hot new products (there are plenty more coming soon!). 

Instead, we’ve got a different, still-exciting button for you to press.

We’re going to do graphics later this year.

Like, actual images on clothes.

Up till now, 99% of Yes Friends has involved no imagery. Even our logo is a little hidden away on most things.

But it’s probably time to make a visual statement or something. 

Might be something a little surfy, a little urban, or a little abstract.

We don’t make these decisions at Yes Friends. You do.
