Today we’re launching a new waffle sweatshirt, and a new long sleeve T-shirt cut, and a reversible boat neck/scoop neck top. All are shown off in our brand new shoot, speaking of which…
Have you ever tried taking candid photos at a party?
Sometimes you get rewarded with shots of organic laughter, an uninhibited dance move or two, and maybe the first signs of two people flirting you can present as evidence you-knew-something-was-up when they get together in months to come.
But not always. Some friends see your camera pointing their way, your finger on the shutter-release, and immediately squeal out of shyness, throwing a palm in front of their face like you were aiming a water pistol in their direction.
This can be fair. Particularly if they’re eating. There’s supposedly a rule about the Royals in the UK: you can’t photograph them with a mouthful of custard creams*, or any other food substance.
*a very British biscuit (cookie), to all our international friends. It’s just big and dry enough to make it very hard to talk with one in your mouth. At least not without spraying crumbs everywhere. Tasty crumbs though.
Freddie, our photographer, has asked us to have a similar policy, but with our emails and the stories we tell.
"Don’t put this in an email."
Freddie said this about something camera lens-related in the last shoot, which we now can’t describe in any more detail.
He was right to do so. Freddie has learned his lesson from previous shoots.
It was absolutely going in. It’s kind of here anyway in these vague, suggestive couple of paragraphs.
But we’ll spare him this time, as he did such a wonderful job shooting all we’re launching today, speaking of which…
Arms are about to get cold again
Although summer technically lasts until September 22nd, what does the equinox know?
Surely the real sign that summer is ending is that you’re putting socks on, or you’re watching The Great British Bake Off, or you stop being able to claim ice cream is a necessary health purchase.
We’ve created three lovely long sleeved things for exactly this moment.
Get caught candid in these…
01: Raglan Waffle Sweatshirt
This sweatshirt’s got a homey “knitted-by-your-grandmother” feel, assuming your grandmother was an absolute wizard with organic cotton.
Here the Raglan sleeves make your shoulders comfortable in ways you didn’t realise shoulders could feel. And the chunky honeycomb texture is as satisfying to put on as bubblewrap is to pop.
FEEL THE HONEYCOMB
02: Reversible Long Sleeve Top
With a fitted look and 310gsm fabric (Rachael from Tamsworth says it “feels way more expensive than it was”), this is about as premium as long sleeve T-shirts can get without a personal tailor and complimentary champagne.
And since this shirt’s fully reversible, with a slash neck one side, scoop the other, it’s basically two looks for the price of one.
POP THE CHAMPAGNE
03: Classic Long Sleeve T-shirt
Our classic organic cotton T-shirt but more epic, with relaxed sleeves that suit sleight of hand card tricks, and a fit that breathes on the dance floor or festival scene.
Cast a silhouette so boxy and beautiful, you’ll want to bring your own lighting crew out at night.
